Partizan suffered another setback by drawing 1-1 at home to IMT.
Caretaker boss Marko Jovanovic made two starting line-up changes – Kervin Arriaga was omitted from the squad for undisclosed reasons so Filipovic moved to centre-back position while young right-back Roganovic made his full debut as a result. Scekic was back in the centre midfield at the expense of Stjepanovic.
Once again, Kalulu was the liveliest of the bunch and made a number of breaks via right flank in the early stages of the game. He created for Jankovic on 8 and Zubairu on 11 but IMT keeper had no trouble dealing with it.
Visitors sent their first shot on target on 26 when 16-year-old Novicic tested keeper Jovanovic with his long range drive.
Partizan took the lead minute later after set-piece ball into the box from Natcho, header towards the net from Nikolic and tap-in inside the 6-yard box from Ilic after initial save from the keeper. VAR review confirmed there was no offside position in the build-up. Partizan 1, IMT 0.
On 34, Partizan players appealed for penalty-kick after a clear handball from Batisse inside the box. VAR review didn`t help the cause, it was a dubious decision from the officials.
Scekic had couple of shots wide towards the end of the first half but it remained Partizan 1, IMT 0, at half-time.
Visitors pushed forward after the break in search of an equalizer but Partizan defence stood firm early on. Mujakic worked very well down the left flank overall while Filipovic stood out with number of important clearances.
Lukovic sent an angled edge-of-the-box shot over the bar on 56 while boss Jovanovic had to make two subs on 57 to give a rest to fatigued Natcho and Jankovic. In came Alilovic and Kovac.
Youngster Alilovic sent a fine first-touch 17m shot on 64 for IMT keeper to make a save.
Visitors did equalize on 67 after a poor defensive clearance for ball to reach Krstic who created himself a shooting position inside the box to send the ball into the far corner of the net for a Partizan 1, IMT 1 scoreline.
More fatigue-related Partizan subs occurred on 78. Trifunovic came in for Kalulu while Roganovic made way for Djurdjevic.
VAR review on 85 cancelled Partizan penalty-kick. To be fair, this time there was no handball offence in the IMT box.
Forward Jovanovic came in for Nikolic on 87 but all we`ve witnessed over the final few minutes and five minutes of stoppage time was number of cautions for IMT players.
Partizan plays final game before the winter break on Saturday, away to Radnicki Nis.
