Beograd, March 16

Partizan achieved a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Cukaricki for a fourth league win in a row, fifth in total.

Midweek cup injury absentees Kalulu and Nikolic were back in the starting line-up as well as rested Roganovic while Filipovic was once again deployed as a left-back.

First half was not so eventful although both sides showed a lot of pace and attacking intentions. Partizan defence blocked Cukaricki attempts on 4,11 and 18 respectively while Natcho had a great opportunity on 9 but send the ball way over the bar after trademark return pass from Kalulu.

Apart from three yellow cards and more shots blocked, it was rather quiet until late in the first half when Natcho failed to capitalize on fine cross from Kalulu on 43. Minute later, great through pass connected Zubairu with Cukaricki net but last gasp sliding tackle from Jovancic left Partizan with corner-kick only.

However, Partizan scored from the resulting corner-kick! Cukaricki defender headed the ball out of the box, Kovac volleyed the ball back into the box, Ilic sent a fierce header towards the net, keeper made a save while Scekic was at the right spot to place the ball into the net on the rebound. Cukaricki 0, Partizan 1.

Zivkovic was introduced for cautioned Roganovic at half-time and both sides had a promising attacks early on, with Cukaricki showing more attacking intentions.

Just after the hour, Kovac had a great opportunity for Partizan after a neat return pass from Zubairu but he send the ball way over the bar.

On 62, right post close range weak header from Kabic was comfortable dealt with by keeper Jovanovic while Scekic got booked minute later for pulling down the opponent in the midfield area.

Partizan boss Blagojevic made two subs on 75 – Stjepanovic in for Natcho while Scekic looked like a forced sub, in came Vukotic.

Keeper Jovanovic made a magnificent save on 77 from Cvetkovic`s unmarked shot inside the box!

Zubairu was booked for fouling Cukaricki keeper on 78 while Kalulu missed a great opportunity on 81.

Goh came in for Zubairu on 84 while Cvetkovic had another great opportunity for hosts on 87 but send the ball wide by the far post from his close range angled shot.

Simic came in for Nikolic on 90+1 while keeper Jovanovic got booked for time-wasting soon after.

Hosts made a last gasp pressure during the four-minute stoppage time and Cvetkovic had his final attempt on 94, sending the ball wide.
