Ivan Radovanovic is new Partizan U19 Head Coach and he will make his debut against Brodarac on 29th of March.
Former Serbian international and Partizan academy graduate joined the club at the age of 12 but played only two official senior matches before moving to Italy where he proved his quality.
His first stop was Atalanta followed by loans to Pisa, Bologna and Novara before move to Chievo where he made more than 180 apps over five-and-a-half years spent at the club. Before hanging his boots and moving to coaching, Radovanovic also played for Genoa and Salernitana before hanging his boots and moving to coaching.
Jedinstvo Ub was Radovanovic`s first coaching job and under his guidance this club won their first ever top-tier football. Now, his duty is to recover youths in the club he supports from his childhood days.
“My dream has come true, I`m back to Partizan! I`m Partizan academy graduate who played only two senior games back in the days when Partizan was coached by Jesic and Djukic. I moved to Italy soon after so I didn`t left much of a legacy in black-and-white shirt but I`m thrilled to be back now! There`s not much time nor games before the end of the season and it`s important we use every day to the full, focused solely on hard work”, said 36-year-old Radovanovic upon signing.
FK Partizan Acting Youth Academy Director Miralem Sulejmani said Radovanovic will be a role model to Partizan youngsters expected to reach senior football in the future.
“Our aim is continuous improvement and strengthening of team spirit so we can be ready to meet the challenges ahead of us. We are convinced Ivan`s skills and dedication will significantly contribute to development and progress of Partizan Youth Academy. His massive experience gained throughout his playing career in Italy as well as appearances for Serbian national team will be of enormous value for the development of the young talent”, said Sulejmani.
