FK Partizan Youth Academy was always an inexhaustible source of talented boys who went on to play for Partizan seniors and Serbian national team. Another verification of this thesis came on Monday evening at Sava Centar gala event staged by Mozzart company where MVP awards were given for the best Serbian athletes in various categories.
There was a total of 22 awards for athletes who marked this year and FK Partizan is proud to announce two man`s football categories were won by former Partizan academy graduates.
Aleksandar Mitrovic, now of Saudi`s Al Hilal FC, received an award for the Best Serbian Player Abroad while the award for the Best Serbian Super Liga Player went to Novi Pazar`s Adem Ljajic.
Both these players started their trade at Partizan-Teleoptik training centre before moving on to play for senior team before they made their respective names on the international stage, both at the club and national team level.
These two honours show how right decision from the new FK Partizan management to place emphasis on club`s youth teams is. We are sure we`ll have more award winners in the near future as a result of club`s new policy.
Besides Aleksandar Mitrovic and Adem Ljajic, twenty more athletes received MVP awards, voted by fans, coaches and team captains of the highest competition levels, as well as by media representatives and Mozzart Sport web portal readers.
