Notes from Slovenia training camp

21 Jun 2024 NEWS

Partizan squad moved to Slovenia on Thursday for a week long pre-season training camp.

Friday morning session was split into several parts – work on strength, group rondo and shadow drill and fartlek running workout.

Fitness Coach Bojan Stamatovic told us about intensity involved over the first three days of Slovenia training camp.

“We did introduction part in Belgrade, sort of a microcycle, as lots of players returned from a short recovery period. Lots of them had individual training so the basis of Belgrade training was about aerobics and endurance. In Slovenia, we`ll play our first friendly of pre-season preps and the emphasis are on the endurance as we travel to Russia later on”, said Stamatovic.

It will be all about high intensity training for the first three days.

“We can qualify it as fartlek running. We planned it as a peak of our training at this point, so we can lower the intensity afterwards”.

Slovan Trnava trains on the pitch next to Partizan`s training ground with now-former Partizan midfielder Danilo Pantic within their ranks. Pantic met with his former teammates and coaches along the way.

After being granted holiday extension, Aldo Kalulu joined Partizan pre-season training today.
