Belgrade, October 26

Partizan achieved four consecutive league win and first one under the new management, by beating Cukaricki 3-1 at home.

In support for the new management, huge number of Partizan fans showed up for this game. Boss Milosevic made two starting line-up changes in comparison to the last league outing – Arriaga started as a centre-back for Mujakic while upfront D Jovanovic made way for Nikolic.

For the first 20-something mins, Partizan was trying to create mainly via right flank and lively Zubairu while visitors did so via flank play and number of crosses that Partizan defence dealt with.

On 20, Cukaricki had the first true opportunity of the game but young forward Cvetkovic blasted the ball over the bar from a promising position in the heart of the box.

17-year-old Cvetkovic got on a scoresheet four minutes later after his teammate Tufegdzic stole midfield possession and charged forward to pass it to into the 6-yard box for Cvetkovic who simply tapped the ball into the net. Partizan 0, Cukaricki 1.

Partizan had the first promising opportunity on 28 but Arriaga send the ball way over the bar from his angled free-kick.

More was to follow on 41 after a lovely long ball from Nikolic followed by Zubairu`s left-foot attempt and defensive block for a Partizan corner-kick.

On 43, Jurcevic`s angled drive was punched away by a full effort from visiting goalkeeper but it was visitors who had final word in the first half – Cvetkovic was close to brace but he only hit the post with his measured low 15m strike.

Partizan boss Milosevic made two half-time subs – on came D Jovanovic and Zahid for Nikolic and Kovac. Moreover, wingers Zubairu and Kalulu switched flanks after the break.

Header from Zubairu on 47 was comfortably saved by Cukaricki keeper but on 52 sub Jovanovic was pulled down to the ground in the box by Stevanovic before he could head the cross from Kalulu and referee pointed to the spot.

Natcho clinically executed penalty-kick for a Partizan 1, Cukaricki 1.

Visitors were unfazed by Partizan equalizer and Tufegdzic was close to scoring with his effort inside the box on 56 but Partizan keeper Jovanovic made a diving save to push the ball out for a corner-kick.

Tufegdzic had another opportunity on 63 but his volley attempt inside the box barely made it to Partizan keeper.

Partizan pushed forward again and it was Filipovic who rose highest inside Cukaricki box to head the ball in after an excellent corner-kick cross from Jurcevic. Partizan 2, Cukaricki 1.

Arriaga made a fine diving block from Tedic`s shot inside the box on 71 while Cukaricki sub Tzionis did a good job on 73 and played a return ball inside the box for Miladinovic who sent a poor shot over the bar from a promising position.

On 74, goalscorer Filipovic made way for Djurdjevic while injured Owusu was subbed by Scekic on 78.

Shot from D Jovanovic on 84 was met by a last-gasp block from Stankovic while same player had his header saved on 88 after a pinpoint cross from lively Kalulu.

Youngster Fuhrer was final Partizan sub, coming in for Zubairu and some 60 seconds later he sent an inviting cross for Kalulu who managed to sneaked in behind the defence on the far post and push the ball into the net for a final Partizan 3, Cukaricki 1, score.

Partizan is away to second-tier Mladost GAT midweek, for a Serbian Cup last 32 one-legged tie, followed by away league game to TSC next weekend.
