Partizan boss Srdjan Blagojevic spoke to journalists after his charges played a one-all draw in a friendly against Debrecen. Media reps were wanted to know how much Partizan players managed to meet demands set by new coaching staff, after only seven days of work together.
“It was our first game and we tried to do certain things we practice during training sessions. It`s clear seven days are not enough for many things to be seen but some did. It could be that at this stage there`s more of it to be fixed rather than having positive stuff but that`s expected at this point of work. I expect us all to show more effort to fix certain bits in our game and I expect some new signing who could add to team`s quality”, said Blagojevic.
Partizan fans noticed Blagojevic observed the game opposite of the rest of the coaching team and stands.
“That`s what I like to do during friendlies. I don`t like to be close to the fans, don`t want us to listen to each other shouting. I love being opposite and to have my peace of mind while I send instructions. It`s nothing unusual for me”, said Blagojevic.
Midfielder Stefan Kovac, who played in second half Partizan line-up, also spoke to journalists.
“I can say it was an open encounter, especially in the second half. This was our first game and we are trying to meet demands from our boss. The demands are new to us and we are trying to catch up with it all so that it becomes easier for us later on”, said Stefan Kovac.
