The guest in Partizan’s interview series was the Bulgarian international and Partizan midfielder Yanis Karabelyov. In a conversation for the club’s YouTube channel, he shared his reaction when the call from the Black and Whites arrived:
“When they told me that Partizan was interested in me, I couldn’t believe it. I asked, ‘Which Partizan?’ Of course, I knew there was only one, but I still couldn’t believe that such a big club wanted me. I didn’t think for a second — I accepted immediately.”
In addition to the strong results since the beginning of the season, the army of Partizan fans has especially noticed the team’s energy and physical preparation.
“You have to come to Teleoptik to understand it. We work a lot. Yesterday we had two training sessions, even though it’s an international break. First of all, I want to thank the coaching staff and our fitness coaches, Sasa and Misa.”
He also revealed what he thinks about Partizan’s young players, who have captured the hearts of football fans:
“They are already at a much higher level than Bulgarian players of their age. Partizan’s academy is the best, and I want my son to be part of it. I told my wife — he should be here!”
