After the departure of Markovic to Viktoria Plzen, Partizan needed to react and make a signing at the centre-back position.
It turned out the best option was Mihajlo Ilic – former Partizan academy graduate who left for Bologna in January and now returns to his home club as a loaned player.
“What`s there to be said? Partizan is my home! Experience in Bologna was of great value for me as a young player but since I couldn`t make a breakthrough there, this is the best option for me. I had more offers but when Partizan calls, that`s it. I`m glad boss Stanojevic wants to add fresh blood with academy graduates, those who are able to feel the club, to battle in every game and that`s why I`m thrilled to be back home, for some time at least, as I can advance and contribute to the team”, said 21-year-old MIhajlo Ilic upon signing a loan deal.
