Nemanja Nikolic after Partizan second league win in a row

06 Oct 2024 NEWS

Sub Nemanja Nikolic scored Partizan`s fourth in a 4-1 win over Tekstilac. Nikolic was struggling with a toe injury lately but he marked his comeback with a goal minute from time.

“I hope we are all picking up. With all due respect, I think we showed more quality than Tekstilac and Mladost last weekend and we started a winning streak as well after seven or eight games without a win. We gained a bit of confidence now and we were awarded for past misses with a four goals tonight. We were able to calmly finish the game compared to Lucani away last weekend when we are a bit nervous. It`s all good now”, said Nikolic.

You worked with new boss Savo Milosevic before?

“I did, but I moved to Vojvodina soon after. I think Milosevic will help us show what we are capable of as we have a great quality and it was on display today. We were a bit tight early on but we relaxed and this win came at the right moment. You`ve seen everything that happened in a derby game and we cannot celebrate too much now as we were embarrassed in that game. We`ll sum the things up over the winter break and by the end of the season. Order, work and discipline is what we need and to move forward step by step. Celebration I did after I scored is dedicated to a friend while the goal itself is dedicated to a person who showed a lot of respect for me while I was a disappointment”.
