Beograd, April 2
Partizan suffered national cup elimination after losing to TSC on penalties after a 90-minute goalless draw.
Back four remained unchanged for Partizan while Dragojevic and Stjepanovic were paired in the central midfield with Zubairu returning to the left wing after one-game suspension and Milosevic making his full debut up-front.
First half had a high pace but very few opportunities. Zubairu had a good opportunity on 9 but his angled shot inside the box ended just wide off the near post. Same player finished a fine piece of Partizan attack on 19 sending the ball well over the bar.
Best opportunity of the first half fell to Kalulu on 41. Another fine build-up led to return ball from Milosevic, left-footed shot from Kalulu and equally good save from keeper Simic.
Visitors had only shot on or off the target on 43 – Vulic shot was comfortably saved by Jovanovic. On 45, Stjepanovic earned yellow for his intentional midfield foul on Savic.
After the break, TSC was close to score after just 12 seconds! Long ball forward reached Savic who beat Jurcevic but hit the outside netting with his close range angled shot. Partizan replied two mins later with edge of the box low drive from Milosevic just wide.
Pantovic sent the ball way over the bar on 49 while Partizan player appeals for a handball in the box from Degenek on 52 went down in vain.
Visitors were close to scoring on 64 when Savic hit the crossbar fromhis 10m effort! Partizan replied on 66 with Milosevic sneaking in on the far post to meet Natcho`s looping set-piece cross and stretching to get a touch but only managed to send the ball over the bar. He was soon subbed by Nikolic for a first Partizan substitution of the game.
Goh was in for Zubairu on 77 and Partizan scored a minute later but it turned out Kalulu was offside in the build-up. Kalulu also picked up a booking on 89.
After a goalless 90 minutes, it was time for straight-out penalty-shoot. Milosavljevic missed the target taking the first penalty for TSC while Dragojevic`s third series penalty was saved by TSC keeper. All players were on target until 8th penalty series when Jurcevic blasted the ball over the bar for Partizan while Radin hit the crossbar for TSC.
After all the players, included the keepers, had their go, the score was 9-9 and Natcho was back to the spot to take his second penalty of the night. He slipped a bit before sending a ball untypically over the bar leaving Prestige to score from the spot and send TSC into the semi-finals of the competition.
