Partizan ended a streak of poor results with a 3-1 win away to Mladost Lucani.
Caretaker boss Vukasinovic made a few starting line-up changes. We knew from the pre-match presser Jurcevic will miss this one with a muscle strain while Natcho and Arriaga pulled out near the kick-off, so in came Antic, Owusu and D Jovanovic. Late summer transfer window newcomers Furher and Kerkez made it to the bench.
Three goals and number of clear-cut opportunities marked first half, starting with Mujakic clearing the ball off line on 7 to save Partizan from early troubles.
Five mins later Partizan took the lead. Corner-kick from Antic was converted by Ilic who headed the ball in from 6m out. 1-0, Partizan.
Partizan doubled the lead on 28 after a brilliant through pass from Kovac and timely run from D Jovanovic who coolly slotted the ball pass the keeper. 2-0, Partizan.
On 31, Partizan defensive blunder allowed Krsmanovic to get a close range touch but Mladost player send the ball over the bar in a hurry.
Minute later, Zubairu sent a pinpoint cross into the box for ghosting D Jovanovic who somehow managed to mishit the ball from close range.
On 35, lively Zahid beat his marker and laid it out for Kalulu whose 14m shot was comfortably saved by the keeper.
Zahid himself hit the post on 39 from his low 20m effort.
Keeper Jovanovic is always there to make a brilliant save. He did It on 41 after another piece of poor defending, saving a shot from Cirkovic.
Zubairu hit the crossbar with his measured shot on 44 while two minutes into the added time, Mujakic managed to clear the ball and foul Krsmanovic in the box at the same time and Mladost was awarded a late first-half penalty-kick.
Keeper Jovanovic was powerless to stop emphatic shot from the spot from Pejovic. Mladost 1, Partizan 2 at half-time.
Partizan extended the lead 7 minutes after the restart. It was a beautiful angled strike into the far top corner of the net from Kovac. 3-1, Partizan.
Prior to Kovac scoring, Trifunovic was the third Partizan player to hit the woodwork.
Vukasinovic introduced Stjepanovic and Trifunovic for Owusu and Kalulu on 56.
On 69, Jovanovic made another classy save on the other side, once again preventing Krsmanovic from scoring and he did it again later in the game to allow Partizan to finish the game in a calm fashion.
Partizan climbed up to sixth spot in the standings with two games in hand.
Next weekend and prior to another international break, Partizan will host Tekstilac with new boss Savo Milosevic by the dugout.
